Artist/Model |
| Q. |
You were born in Romania correct, when did your family move to the US? |
| A. |
Yes, I was born in a small mountain town. After the 1989 revolution, it took six years to take us all out. |
| Q. |
Did your family move around a lot or settled in one area while you were growing up? |
| A. |
No, we didn’t move around much. And I really like my home town, Busteni. |
| Q. |
How did you first get involved in acting/modeling? |
| A. |
At six years old, at the communist theatre, the communists made me do it. But then I found out I really like attention. We traveled with a bus and putting on shows on the stage. I fell in love with the theatre and told my mom I wanted to go to Hollywood to become an actress when I grow up. She laughed and said “It’s impossible, the communists will never let us leave the country”. So after much resistance during the revolution and after, when we came to America, I started modeling bikini in Chicago, because it paid well, then, after graduating High School, moved to California where I got married and continued with my love for the stage, as well as modeling for various photographers. |
| Q. |
What jobs have you had besides modeling or acting work to get you by? |
| A. |
I worked in a bakery making fifty thousand million cookies. |
| Q. |
Do you consider yourself a struggling actress still looking for that big break? |
| A. |
I’m the greatest undiscovered talent in the industry. |
| Q. |
Do you find yourself being type cast because of that background or the look you have? |
| A. |
Yes, all the time. I tend to get a lot of sexy roles. Or glamorous types. I get asked often: “Where are you from?” even before I open my mouth and speak with an accent. People’s first impression is that I am Middle Eastern, Latin, Jewish or Russian, and I don’t sound like it. My accent is different from anything they’ve heard. They say I definitely don’t look American. Sometimes I wish I did. |
| Q. |
How do you feel your look fits in with what Hollywood goes after today? |
| A. |
No one can place my accent and it’s hard for me to get cast. I have had many interesting experiences, resistance, heartbreaks, which I think made me grow, and as long as there is some intelligence developing, one can be a good actor no matter how she looks like. I was told that Hollywood likes blonds with blue eyes and I must become one if I want to make it, so I became a blond. Then I grew out of it, but now, I change the way I look all the time. |
| Q. |
Are you more comfortable with a starring role or supporting role? |
| A. |
I have recently realized that I would make a great supporting actress. It was during the play “Truck Stop Café” aka(Baghdad Café) at the Playhouse Theatre Players, during a performance. Before this, I wanted to be the star of everything. I didn’t even know what supporting role is, and the difference between the two. It was a scene in which a lot of actors came in one after the other, and did their lines, and moved on off stage. So I was there, and saw each one of them come on, and you can’t upstage an actor in his scene, or the audience misses the whole point, so I didn’t. I just supported them while they were there and it worked. |
| Q. |
How would you like for people to see your career? |
| A. |
I want them to see me as the star that I am. |
| Q. |
Is there anything people would be surprised to know about you? |
| A. |
I’m a competitive Giant slalom down hill skier, I usually win, I‘m told I‘m very strong. |
| Q. |
Are you an improvisational actor? |
| A. |
No, I love a well written script. |
| Q. |
I reviewed your IMDb profile, which projects listed can you say you liked the most and any info on any of those you want to share more on? |
| A. |
I loved the Vintage Vehicle Show. It was when I was fresh in this country and I didn’t understand English that well. I was very nervous and the man that hired me to do the interviews was very nice. I thought: “I should be better, I should be carefull I don’t upset anyone”. And he was just telling me: “That was good”. I had a lot of fun. I love old cars. Especially 1967 Cobra. |
| Q. |
What has given you the most confidence in this career? |
| A. |
What has given me the most confidence in this career is the memory of me when I was five years old, saying to myself with true feeling: “I want to go to Hollywood and be an actress”, in spite the fact that it was an impossible thing to achieve, for example, the communists would not let anyone leave the country. There were many things which should have stopped me. But so far, nothing has been able to touch me in that regards. And that gives me confidence. |
| Q. |
You are a very voluptuous woman, has that been a benefit or hindrance in your career? |
| A. |
Both. A benefit, because I get a lot of attention, and many directors, producers, acting mentors approach me saying: “I want you to read for my play“ or “I have this movie I‘m doing“, etc.. But a hindrance because they don’t want to work with me, or cast me in their movie, but they want to have a sexual experience. I would definitely say it has been more of a hindrance so far. Who knows what will happen in the future? I hope I have learned for my future. Most of the actresses today are very thin, and I think that’s a good idea for me to be as well. |
| Q. |
Being very busty and curvaceous does that tend to get you offers for roles that want you to umm, display those assets for a character? |
| A. |
Yes. I’m always cast as the producer’s girlfriend which is not what I had in mind. |
| Q. |
How do men approach you when they see the body you have, what do they seem the most attracted to or drool over..I can guess what that might be though :) |
| A. |
Men in L.A. usually approach me by saying they have a play, or they are a director, producer, established actor or playwright of a theatre play or a movie, and would I like a part?
Many women give me compliments on my legs and men give me compliments on my twins. |
| Q. |
Has your Romania heritage influenced what type roles you have been offered much? |
| A. |
Has your Romania heritage influenced what type roles you have been offered much?
Yes. I was cast as a Natzi prison guard in the play Schindler’s List. Even though I told them I don’t sound German. |
| Q. |
Has America been the proverbial "streets of gold" for you to date many immigrate here to enjoy? |
| A. |
Yes, Living under Communism Dictatorship is a terrible thing. Living in America, Anything is possible. America has some laws, which, for somebody like me can be a wonderful gift. All these, if, I can free myself from the demons of my past. I miss my friends from Romania. And I miss the mountains as well. That’s the only thing which distorts me most. However, I really like Microwave ovens. |
| Q. |
Your most significant achievement, role to date you feel is what? |
| A. |
The last play I did, even though I didn’t have many lines, has given me valuable knowledge. My greatest achievement was to get my husband to marry me. It took 9 years. |
| Q. |
What about you should producers and casting agents be looking for in you to cast you in more substantial roles? |
| A. |
I can be very dominant and switch to being submissive. I have heard of a great actor who loves to play only humiliating roles, and I love to do that as well. I don’t know, I’m pretty open. Anything goes. I’ve had many experiences in my life which puts me in a position that if I have to play a role, chances are, I experienced it at some point in my life. People often approach me to cast me as a femme fatalle, I would like them to also see that I have an emotional vulnerability. |
| Q. |
Your also a model, did that lead to acting roles or vice versa? |
| A. |
Yes, modeling did lead to many acting roles. The pictures I added to my portfolio from modeling photo shoots has lead to roles. I have been blessed to shoot with talented photographers. One guy, I liked his pictures so much that I married him. |
| Q. |
Are you still looking for that break out role that will make you a household name? |
| A. |
Yes, that break out role is busy looking for me. |
| Q. |
Are there roles you will not do, such as any that require nudity or sexual scripts? |
| A. |
Yes. I had a strict rule about that. I would not do nudes, topless, sex scenes, rape scenes, lesbian, etc. But a lot of auditions today are for projects which require these things. And a lot of my girlfriend actresses are working more than me because they don’t mind doing these things. So now, I realize I must accept to do these roles which require nudity and sexual language if I want a break. |
| Q. |
Many actresses have done some type of nude work that seems to enhance their careers, how so you feel about that if it was essential for the story line? |
| A. |
I have seen some of my actor friends getting fame from using their sexuality. It appears I must do the same. However, I have always enjoyed posing nude for my husband. |
| Q. |
What actress do you greatly admire the most or would most like to work with, male or female? |
| A. |
Sophie Marceau and Anthony Quinn are my favorite of all times. I wish I could be the type actor that they are. |
| Q. |
The industry has lost quite a few stars recently, Farrah Fawcett, Michael Jackson, has any of this affected you and cause you to reflect on what you do today and the future? |
| A. |
Yes. I have seen the effect Michael and Farrah had on people everywhere. With Michael, people were crying, others had other things to say, others were defending him against accusations. Either way, people had a reaction from this “being”. That has made me realize that whatever happens in life, if people talk bad at some point about me, or give me resistance, that in fact, is a blessing, why get upset and stress about it. So yes, it has caused me to see that I should not be uptight in my life, for every second that I live. Also, not to take prescription drugs. If someone tries to manipulate, or say mean things about me, to not be uptight or stress about it, to learn, because the older I grow, the more I see the stuff that is not real. To enjoy this wonderful gift. Life. |
| Q. |
To wrap this up what's next or in the future for Lauren Lemay aka Ana Talos? |

Be happy, Healthy, Be a good working actress, Be in high budget Movies, visit Romania without emotions of self pity or regret, have more children, then retire in the country and raise sheep and chickens. |
